Overcoming obstacles with Optimism

After a miserable week with all of us at home sick and vehicle problems -including being stranded at the doctor’s office with a dead car battery- imagine my surprise and gratitude when I opened an email this morning announcing I had been nominated for a Distinguished Alumni Humanitarian Service Award.

Wow, I mean, someone thought enough about me and the work I’ve done to nominate me? I don’t know who it was or what specifically prompted them to go through all of the work filling out the nomination form, but I am so honored.

This dreadful week has instantly brightened. It’s like a warm hug. Thank you whoever you are!
