  2. I especially like the observation about desert-accustomed eyes being best able to appreciate green! I’ve been thinking about this as I look out my windows and see all the lovely green we here take for granted —

    • It is a wonderful gift when we learn to appreciate the smaller things in life. It is a shame what we have to go through sometimes in order to gain that appreciation.
