Overcoming obstacles with Optimism

I planted this gladiolus bulb over a year ago.  I forgot about it.  I had not even remembered Sandra brought up the bulb last year as a gift for me.  At that time, I planted it and watched it for awhile.  Then, sorry to say Sandra, I neglected to nurture it.  An entire year went by before I remembered where it had been planted.

Maybe we all have a bulb similar to this within us.  What do you think?  I like to think deep inside us all, there is strength and beauty ready to blossom.  This gladiolus bulb knew how to collect nutrients from the soil and conserve water from our scarce spring showers.  Our nutrients are hope and joy.

There is a piece in all of us we don’t take notice of or, in many cases, even remember.  There is a strength and beauty ready to bloom which we too often forget to nurture.  Under the right condition, it will grow in all of us.  Find your talent.  Find a hobby that brings you joy.  Find a way to make your tiny piece of the world better.  Nurture it and watch the strength it possesses grow as it creates something special for all of those around you to see.
